Space Pilot 3000, the original pilot for the series, “Futurama”
The animated series, Futurama, by Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, is a creative and irreverent look at the future and futurism. Even though the series persistently shows the nitty-gritty of the future, it never does so disrespectfully, IMHO. Here is the timeline for the series and, as you’ll see, it is highly complicated and enormously witty. The series is slated to return in 2008, thankfully! The new movie, Futurama: The Beast With A Billion Backs, will be out in June 2008.
