Six Feet of Sexy Green Eyes at The Eagle Tavern

There he was, a friend of Garrett’s, in from Texas. Out with friends, I met him at a wicked beer bust at The Eagle Tavern, San Francisco’s legendary gay biker-leather-jeans bar, which is rockin’ and rollin’ with fun and festive goings-on every Sunday afternoon.
First thing I noticed, after the green eyes, was a most charming smile, then a hot chest. After I dropped down from my bench-perch to grab another scotch, I looked up to 6 feet of male hotness and testosterone. Cheeky bastard, too - devilish and playful.

I swear that I momentarily found myself drooling in public in a Pavlovian reaction, like a near-somnolent tripper recovering from a kick-ass acid trip.
There he stood, while cute guys and boys came by to smile and flirt. One 20-something guy wanted him to play puppy, but he had other ideas… Beau the Texan is due back to San Francisco soon, I hear, as this was his first visit to our wicked little town. And we know how to treat six feet of sexy, now, do we not?

Highlights for Children the Evil Version

Like many of you, I’ve enjoyed the Highlights magazines in countless waiting rooms pretty much all of my life. This creative person has created a parody that does a good job of using the graphical art style along with witty rewrites of the texts. Some of it is cynical and some of it gave me a chuckle; a great parody, all in all!

Farewell, sweet Estelle - and Sophia, too
Filed Under comedy and humor, gay culture | Leave a Comment
The media is reporting that Golden Girls actress, Estelle Getty, has passed away after suffering from severe dementia for a prolonged period. Ms. Getty worked for decades in obscurity while raising a family until her break in 1985 with the smash television series, Golden Girls.

I will always remember Ms. Getty as her Golden Girls character, Sophia. I had the privilege of seeing her in a New York production of the play, Torch Song Trilogy, with writer and co-star, Harvey Fierstein.
