GOP is the Party of NO
Given the broad social and political reaction to Republican Senator Joe Wilson’s highly unethical and inappropriate outburst against President Obama in the American Congress on 9 September 2009, it follows that the media is having a field day with the entire embarrassing incident. Clearly, Senator Wilson should rightfully be ashamed of his childish behavior, but since he has aligned himself with some highly questionable right wing groups, that outcome is unlikely.
The GOP, known as the Grand Old Propaganda machine or the Party of “NO!”, persists in juvenile behavior, like calling President Obama a liar or in manufacturing conservative protests. The GOP has at every turn attempted to divert public and media attention from some of the most serious national issues of our time, as well as the fact that for 40-plus years the Republican Party has wrecked our nation’s reputation in the world community, woefully neglected the needs of Americans, created the largest corporate welfare state in the world, and has violated every known ethical more regarding sexual affairs with women other than their Stepford Wives.
Except for a bit of flummoxed language starting at 1:39, Keith Olbermann does his usual stellar job of hard-hitting and factually-based political commentary. He identifies the seemingly endless lies told by George W. Bush Jr., aka Dubya. So many of us are astonished that Dubya has not been brought up on charges of high treason for crimes against the people and the Constitution of the United States of America.
Check out Olbermann’s excellent commentary below.
