What is it that freaks people out so much about two people of the same sex who love each other asking for the same right to marry that is legally accorded straight people?

Here’s a video of the second gay marriage rights protest in San Francisco on Friday, 7 November 2008. There are protests in Los Angeles, San Diego, Bakersfield, and the first of probably many marches on the state capitol, Sacramento, is planned for Sunday, 10 November 2008.

I do know that gay people will achieve full equality and marriage rights will be recognized. After all, one cannot defeat an army of lovers…
