The long and continuing journey of homo sapiens sapiens
Scientific American has published a great article about recent DNA research into the genetic migration history of the human race, The Migration History of Humans: DNA Study Traces Human Origins Across the Continents.
This is a great summation of research from the past many decades and highlights that the human species is continuing to evolve. It also strongly highlights that the so-called “race” categories are meaningless political constructs that were never useful and should be tossed into the dustbins of racist history.
How about the next time we are asked about our “race”, we answer “human”?
