One of my favorite blogs, Zen Habits, has a great article on the flow experience. Flow is a state of consciousness natural to the human situation, in which a person’s sense of time is removed from our waking consciousness. In a flow experience, a seemingly effortless state of deep contentment can emerge, providing a psychic ambrosia that is healing, nourishing, and remarkably facilitative of the creative process.
