In our backyard, there’s a statue of the Mad Hatter from Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, aka Alice in Wonderland or Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, by Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the nom de plume, Lewis Carroll. I’ve always loved the characters from this fantasy fable, having grown up hearing, seeing, reading, and writing about it.
